AB InBev and PLANETech are proud to present the AB InBev & PLANETech Innovation Lab. The program is designed to support AB InBev's environmental and climate goals and identify technologies that can solve climate challenges throughout the entire value chain.
Selected startups will work together with leading stakeholders from ABI's sustainability, supply and logistics teams to define a potential pilot structure, analyze potential value and business case, and leverage PLANETech's methodology to quantify their potential climate impact.
Startups that are found suitable, will have the opportunity to join the 100+ accelerator.
What Can You Get From The Program?
Build a pilot project with AB InBev’s tech innovation lab – Beer Garage, to implement your technology by submitting a detailed pilot plan including funding and resources
Expedited application into the AB InBev 100+ Sustainability Accelerator,
access to expert advisors, funding, and new networks
Quantify your technology's climate impact & build your climate value proposition using PLANETech's tools and experts
Direct access to ABI's Supply & Logistics teams around the world
Exposure to ZX Ventures and additional investors as part of the program
AB InBev is closely tied to the natural environment: agricultural crops and water are our key ingredients. We require raw materials for our packaging and we need energy and fuel to brew, transport and refrigerate our beers.
We know that understanding the potential climate-related risks and opportunities for our business and value chain should inform our long-term climate strategy. This is why we have announced an ambition to achieve net zero across our value chain by 2040.
“Building on the progress we have made towards our 2025 Sustainability Goals, we are mapping decarbonization pathways and aim to continue investing in partnerships and innovation towards our ambition to achieve net zero across our value chain by 2040.”
Michel Doukeris, CEO
Analyzing AB InBev's
Carbon Footprint
We assess and measure emissions across our entire value chain. In 2020, we estimated Scope 3 emissions represented over 85% of our total footprint which is why we aim to engage with our value chain partners to develop innovative solutions.

PLANETech is a nonprofit innovation community for climate change technologies - a joint venture of the Israel Innovation Institute and Consensus Business Group. PLANETech aims to lead the Israeli and global climate tech ecosystem in tackling climate change via a combination of approaches. This is done by modifying business focus and technologies towards climate change challenges, supporting the deployment and implementation of innovative climate technologies, and by building a global network for climate tech innovators while promoting Israel as a world center for climate change technologies.
