Maygia (formerly ParagonH2)
Climate One-Liner
Replacing electricity with hydrogen to purify water.
Description
While electricity has long been used to clean water ( e.g., industry and desalination) resulting in high costs and carbon emissions, Maygia uses hydrogen as the energy source and produce electricity while treating water using a single technology resulting in lower costs and carbon emissions. This technology could provide an economic and environmental impact starting with gray hydrogen, and improve even further as blue and green hydrogen become more readily available, so there's no need to wait to change the way water is cleaned around the world.
